Is Murattil free?
Yes — Murattil will be free to download and to use the core recitation features. We plan to offer an optional supporter tier for advanced features, but the essentials will stay free forever.
When will it launch?
We're aiming for a public beta in the coming months. Add your email on the download page to be the first to know.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The most common surahs and all Uthmani text work fully offline. Some features like studio-quality reference audio require a connection the first time.
What script does it use?
Authentic Uthmani typesetting, with full diacritics, pause marks, and ayah separators — the same script used in the printed Mushaf.
How accurate is the AI feedback?
We continually evaluate accuracy against qualified reviewers. In early tests the system catches roughly 90% of pronunciation issues the average learner would benefit from addressing. It is a study aid, not a replacement for a qualified teacher.
Does it teach tajweed?
Murattil helps you practice what you already know and highlights pronunciation concerns. For tajweed instruction itself, please learn from a qualified teacher — we point out where to focus, not how to rule.
What happens to my voice recordings?
Audio is scored and then discarded by default. We never use your recordings to train models without explicit, per-recording consent. Read the Privacy page for details.
Which platforms are supported?
iOS 16+ and Android 10+ at launch. A web experience may follow.
Can teachers or institutions use it?
We're planning a gentle classroom mode — group progress dashboards for teachers, with the same privacy defaults. Reach out if you'd like early access.
